Pavel Klimashevsky

was born in Sochi in 1984. In 2015 received a Master of Arts in Composition as well as Bachelor of Arts in Bass from the Mainz School of Music (University of Mainz) in Germany. Pavel studied with one of the most legendary arrangers and band leaders of the 20th century, three-time Grammy winner -

Rob McConnell as well as Gary Lindsay - famous educator and arranger at the Frost School of Music (Miami). At the present time, he leads his own big band and appears as arranger, conductor and composer at concerts and festivals worldwide.

 

Pavel’s reputation as composer/arranger and conductor for large ensembles continues to flourish, and has earned him various prizes such as «Porin Music Award» and «RadioHead Award».

 

He has collaborated on projects with great artists such as Bob Mintzer, Dave Weckl, Rhani Krija, Benny Benack III, Lukáš Oravec and many others. Other recent work includes projects with the Frankfurt Radio Big Band (hr-Bigband), State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia, Gustav Brom Czech Radio Big Band, Lukáš Oravec Orchestra (CZ), The Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra (Olomouc, CZ), HGM jazz orkestar Zagreb (Croatia), Capella Bydgostiensis (Poland), Junge Sinfonie Reutlingen (Germany), Klaipėdos valstybinio muzikinio teatro simfoninis orkestras (Lithuania), Oleg Lundstrem Jazz Orchestra (Russia) etc.
